My name is Barry Davis and I appreciate the privilege of being a part of what God is doing at SFBC & Theological Seminary in preparing servants for their ministry and career goals. My view of learning consists of a learner-centered environment that promotes meaningful learning, constructing knowledge rather than passively receiving it and shaping as well as being shaped by experiences in the learning environment. Education should involve the entire person and as an instructor, I enjoy developing students to be effective followers of Christ who are equipped to advance the gospel and serve the local church.

I have been privileged to serve as Faculty Professor both on campus and online, Student Advisor, Admissions Board member, Bible department program consultant as well as Senior Pastor 2000-2004, Interim Pastor 2004-2005 and August 2006- January 2009. I currently am bi-vocational and work for the Loma Linda VA Hospital in Loma Linda, CA, in mental health as a Vocational Rehabilitation Counselor, assisting Veterans as they seek to recover and reenter the workforce.

My wife, daughter and I accepted Christ as Savior September 1, 1988, and our son accepted Christ as a young child in 1997. My wife and I have been married 32 years and blessed greatly. Our daughter works in graphic design while our son has been in seminary and now on mission for a church plant while also bivocational in music production, and assisting a local church in leading worship, small groups and stage production.
