WHY THIS DEGREE?

An Associate of Arts degree in business, is the initial degree program which will provide a solid foundation able to propel you toward a fulfilling career path in business. Studies will include business principles such as marketing, communication, management, and economics. Whether you want to work your way through the corporate ladder to becoming a chief executive officer or owning your own business by becoming a successful entrepreneur, this degree is your launch pad. You will gain skills that are transferrable across many industries, giving you the flexibility to choose specifically any or many areas of business that is of interest to you. The Associate of Arts degree in business is more than a just a piece of paper given to you after graduation, It is also the

Goals

Upon completion of the Associate of Arts (A.A.) in Business Administration & Management program, the graduate should be able to:

  1. Understand and apply general business theories, principles, and practices;
  2. Comprehend and demonstrate effective managerial principles for business development.
  3. Demonstrate effective oral and written communication skills;
  4. Develop analytical reasoning and problem solving skills;
  5. Comprehend basic psychological theories and principles;
  6. Examine major world religions from a Christian context;
  7. Understand and explain how the humanities influence the societies and culture;
  8. Grasp the fundamental concepts of philosophy and science to explain how various theistic and non-theistic ideologies affect the Christian perspective;
  9. Demonstrate an understanding of the Biblical Worldview in general studies;
  10. Identify and understand the history and content of the Bible;
  11. Demonstrate an understanding of the fundamentals of Christian doctrine and theology;
  12. Understand the challenges, objections, and alternatives to the Christian faith;
  13. Exhibit the ability to clearly communicate the gospel in local and global settings;
  14. Exhibit the competence and proficiency to pursue advanced studies at the undergraduate level;

Global
Students enter our A.A. program from various parts of the world, expanding perspectives and creating a diverse experience for our student body.

Multi-Denominational
Although distinctly evangelical, our students and professors come from diverse backgrounds to provide an enriching environment for classroom discussion, enabling students and professors to learn from each other.

16-Week Format
Our A.A. classes are taught in a traditional 16-week format either on campus or online to allow working students to participate in classes from various parts of the world. The traditional pace allows working students to finish their degree within two years.

ADMISSIONS REQUIREMENTS

The A.A. program admission requirements below must be met before an application is considered complete.

Applicants must submit:

  • Application for admission
  • Submit your Personal Testimony with your application
  • $75 nonrefundable application fee
  • Official transcripts from all institutions applicant has attended.
    • An official transcript is one that SFBC&TS receives unopened in an envelope sealed by the former institution and that bears the official signature or seal of the High School and previously attended colleges.
    • Diploma: All incoming freshmen must possess a valid high school diploma prior to enrollment. Proof of graduation must be provided in the form of a final official transcript indicating the date of graduation.
    • Applicants with a GED: Students with a General Equivalency Diploma (GED) from any state must submit official test scores to the Office of Undergraduate Admissions. Applicants with a GED should also submit high school transcripts from any schools attended.
  • Recommendation form. The reference letter should serve as a pastoral or ministry reference, outlining program responsibilities, character, and work ethic.
  • Interview. All applicants will undergo an interview to learn more about them and confirm suitability for the A.A. program.
