My name is James Cater, and I was born in Cuba. I love sports, history, and reading. I am a bi-vocational pastor, and I’ve been in ministry for 31 yrs.
I’ve ministered in three interim pastoral positions and associate pastor positions where from 2005 to 2016, I was the Senior Pastor for Miramar Evangelical Free Church. I’ve served as Discipleship Director and Youth Director in former churches.
I received an AS in Respiratory in 1986 from MDC, a bachelor’s in biblical studies in 2003 from Christian Bible College, and an MA in Biblical Studies from SFBC where I also am an adjunct professor.
Our family lives in Pembroke Pines and we have five children: Elizabeth, James, Corina, Casandra, and Sammy. We enjoy homeschooling, reading, garage sales, and sports. I am married to Idania for 28 years. Idania has an English major from Broward College. She home-schools our children for 24 years.
