Even if you have an unrelated bachelor’s degree, SFBC&TS’s Master’s degree in Divinity program will give you the varied and in-depth background in biblical and theological studies paired with practical, in-demand ministry skills that will equip you for full-time ministry, ministry leadership, and specialized chaplaincy roles.
If you plan to pursue doctoral studies, the M.Div. Degree will prepare you to reach the pinnacle of Christian scholarship and teach at the college level. With on campus classes or the flexibility of the online format and its affordability, the M.Div. Degree program gains the benefits of SFBC&TS’s full accreditation while still allowing you to complete your Master’s of Divinity courses 100% in person or online.

Goals
Upon completion of the Master of Divinity program, the graduate should be able to:
- Develop a mastery of the Scriptures and Christian doctrine and apply this knowledge to ministries in U.S. and global context
- Apply professional ministry skills, counseling techniques, and effective leadership in their concentration of study
- Promote and defend the church’s worldwide mission of gospel proclamation, discipleship, and social change
- Formulate ministerial strategies and apply them to a practical research project/thesis.

Students enter our Masters program from various parts of the world, expanding perspectives and creating a diverse experience for our student body.
Multi-Denominational
Although distinctly evangelical, our students and professors come from diverse backgrounds to provide an enriching environment for classroom discussion, enabling students and professors to learn from each other.
16-Week Format
Our Masters classes are taught in a traditional 16-week format either on campus or online to allow working students to participate in classes from various parts of the world. The traditional pace allows working students to finish their degree within two years.

ADMISSIONS REQUIREMENTS
The Masters program admission requirements below must be met before an application is considered complete.
Applicants must possess:
- A bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution.
- A minimum 3.0 GPA on a 4.0 scale. (Provisional admittance may be granted to individuals who do not meet this criteria if competency can be shown.)
Applicants must submit:
- Application for admission
- $75 nonrefundable application fee
- Official transcripts from all institutions leading to and awarding the applicant’s bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution and all postbaccalaureate study
- An official transcript is one that SFBC&TS receives unopened in an envelope sealed by the former institution and that bears the official seal of the college or university.
- Recommendation form. The reference letter should serve as a pastoral or ministry reference, outlining program responsibilities, character, and work ethic.
- Interview. All applicants will undergo an interview to learn more about them and confirm suitability for the Masters program.
